PrompterPal's online teleprompter scrolls your script smoothly across the screen, right in your browser, so you can keep your eyes up while you present, record a video or speak on a call. It works on a laptop, desktop, tablet or phone, with nothing to install.
Free. No sign-up. Your script stays in this browser.
In Edit Mode, type or paste it into the editor, or import a .txt, .docx or .pdf file. The text is plain, so pasting from anywhere keeps the words and drops the formatting.
Play Mode shows your script full screen in large text. A short Countdown gives you a moment to get ready, then the text starts scrolling.
Change the Speed while you read, pause with Space, or nudge the text back and forth. Your place is saved, so you can come back to it later.
Mirror the text for a beam-splitter teleprompter rig, or Reverse it so it runs bottom to top.
Set how fast the text scrolls, or set a Target Duration and let the teleprompter work out the Speed so you finish on time.
Hide the browser's own toolbars so nothing but your script is on screen.
Play, pause, change the Speed and move through the text from the keyboard. Assign almost any key to any action, so a Bluetooth remote or presentation clicker works too.
Choose the font, font size, alignment and colors, bionic reading, the Cue Indicator that marks your reading line, and the margins.
Bring in a script from a text file, a Word document or a PDF.
Open the teleprompter in a browser window and place it just under your webcam, so your eyes stay close to the camera while you read. Make the window narrow and the font size large, and set a slow Speed, so you seem to look at the people on the call rather than down at your notes. Keep your hands free with the keyboard or a clicker, and use Browser Fullscreen on a second screen.
Yes. It's free to use, with no sign-up and no account.
Only in this browser, on this device. Your script, your reading position and your Display Settings are saved locally and never uploaded. Start a New Session when you want to begin again with an empty one.
Yes. Most clickers send Page Down and Page Up, which nudge the text forward and back by default. Open Key Assignments in Display Settings to give any button the action you want, such as Play/Pause.
Yes, in any modern browser. Browser Fullscreen isn't available on iPhone, whose browsers don't support it. To record yourself while you read, use the PrompterPal app.
The PrompterPal teleprompter app for iPhone and Android adds video recording, so you can read your script and film yourself at the same time.
